Yes, we organize visits upon request, although the new residence is still under construction.
On our website you can also find reel pictures and videos, as well as rendered images which give a realistic view of our future student residence and its studios. You can also find regular construction updates in our blog on our website.
To book a studio, please complete the booking request form on our website. You should mandatorily attach a copy of your ID card or passport, as well as a proof of enrolment as a student in Belgium (or a declaration of honour that such proof of enrolment shall be provided prior to the start of the lease, just check the applicable box in the form). We also request that you provide us with the details of your parent or legal guardian who will guarantee your obligations under the lease agreement.
Depending on availabilities we shall attribute you a studio according to the studio type you selected. In case the studio type selected in your request is no longer available, we shall invite you to select another available studio type.
If your booking request is complete and accepted by StudiX, you shall receive a confirmation of your booking by e-mail within 24 hours.
This confirmation will contain a weblink to allow you, as tenant, to electronically sign the lease agreement. Once you have signed, your guarantor shall automatically receive a separate signing request to allow him to sign the lease agreement on his turn. Finally, we shall sign the lease agreement as landlord and you shall receive the signed copy of the agreement. Note that the signature link is only valid for 3 days.
After signature of the lease agreement, you shall receive an invoice for the deposit equal to the rent for the first month as well as the security deposit equal to 2 months' rent. Payment to our account should be done within 7 days from receipt of the invoice.
Your booking shall only be final after signature of the lease agreement AND full payment of the deposit and security deposit. If we do not receive the signed contractual documents or the payment of the deposit and security deposit within 7 days, your booking shall automatically be cancelled.
In principle our studios are only available with a lease agreement of 12 months, from mid-September till mid-September.
For Erasmus students or students in international exchange programs, we also offer lease agreements for a half-year (from September till January and from February till July).
Yes, you should pay a security deposit (rental guarantee) to our account equal to 2 months' rent within 7 days of the signature of the lease agreement.
In addition, your parents or legal guardian shall have to sign the lease agreement as guarantor in order to guarantee your lease obligations.
The monthly rental charges are all-in and include electricity, heating, cold and hot water, individual high-speed fiber internet access, use of the gym, waste collection and regular cleaning of the studios and common areas. The monthly rental charges are fixed (flat rate) and you shall thus not receive a further settlement notice at the end of the lease.
The city tax (€ 116.41 / year) and the move-in / move-out schedule of condition (€ 75 / move) are not included in the rental charges and are to be paid separately.
All our studios come fully furnished with a bed (including a mattress), a designer wardrobe, a desk, a chair, lighting, and curtains.
Each studio also features a private bathroom equipped with a shower, washbasin, mirror, and toilet.
Our Premium Studios additionally include a fully equipped kitchenette, including plates, glasses, cutlery, and essential cookware.
Please note that pillows, duvets, and bed linen are not provided. You will need to bring your own.
No. All our studios are designed to be occupied by 1 person only.
As an alternative, in our Superior apartments we offer several individual private studios in the same apartment.
Should you wish to have your studio next or close to your friend's studio, please let us know in your booking request.
All 65 Premium studios have a fully-equipped private kitchenette in the studio itself.
For the 44 Comfort studios, a fully-equipped shared kitchen is foreseen on each of the four floors (one large kitchen for 11 studios on each floor).
The 62 Superior studios are organised in 10 apartments with 3 to 12 studios per apartment. Each apartment has its own fully-equipped shared kitchen and living room.
Each resident shall receive an individual access badge to access the StudiX residence and studios.
The StudiX residence and garden are only accessible with the acces badge. In addition, the upper floors with the studios and each Superior apartment are only accessible with the access badge. Each studio is again only accessible with the individual access badge.
Camera surveillance is foreseen in the common areas of the student residence.
The 100 m² gym on the ground floor of the residence is accessible to all residents of the StudiX residence and the use of the gym is included in the rent.
The gym is not open to the public.
The StudiX residence has a bicycle shed for 171 bikes with secure badge access.
The regular cleaning of the studios and the common parts of the residence (common areas on the ground floor, shared kitchens, coliving areas, corridors, etc.) is taken care of by StudiX and is included in the rental charges.
Vacuum cleaners and cleaning equipment are freely available in the residence, if needed.
Yes. StudiX has a laundry room on the ground floor with 3 professional washing machines and 3 professional dryers.
You should pay a small charge for each washing or drying at the electronic payment terminal.
Yes. Every studio has a numbered letterbox, so every resident can receive their mail or parcels.
No. Only enrolled students can lease a studio in the StudiX residence.
In your booking request, you need to attach a proof of enrolment at a university or school in Belgium for the period of your stay.
No. This is not allowed.
You need to have a legal domicile elsewhere.
For international students, the registration of the studio as a place of residence during your studies by reason of an obligation imposed by the government or local authorities is permitted, whilst maintaining domicile in your home country.
No, pets are not allowed in the studios and the residence.
